Founder, Jon Deaton perfected his craft gaining experience with multiple top ten boat dealers in multiple states, including the boat capital of the USA, Florida! Achieving accreditations in the specialized fields of Creative Placemaking from the New England Institute of Art, and a Certification in Economic Development Workforce Data Analytics from EMSI, Disaster Resiliency and Recovery Certification from the DRA, Jon cut his teeth in the marketing world of economic development, tourism, and private consulting. Once the opportunity arrived Jon moved his wife, Sandra, and five children to a waterfront community in Florida to gain the highly sought after Florida and California Yacht Brokerage License. Never one to rest, Jon then earned the high ranking of a Certified Professional Yacht Broker joining the elite top 1% of brokers in the world with this status. He then began working to solve logistical issues with boat storage and transportation while making in roads with multiple marinas and brokers in other luxury industries. De Kours now manages 360′ of commercial sea wall (the longest in the area) along with 45 mixed use wet slips in two locations and is proud to assist in sales, storage, maintenance, financing, registration, transportation, wholesale purchasing, commercial slip leasing, recreational slip leasing, consulting, marina management, salvage, and all things marine and lifestyle. The rest is a result of demand from loyal clients and a growing customer base who demand the best in a luxury broker. De Kours International was founded to deliver on this promise.
